My Later Sounds

Learnigo at Home: Our top resources are now condensed into bite-sized practices, perfect for learning at home. We've included plenty of parent-friendly tips and resources to make at-home progress simple and effective. These tools are also great for therapists and teachers to recommend and collaborate on with parents, ensuring continuous learning outside of the classroom.

This course tackles advanced sounds that are typically acquired last in speech development. These sounds—CH, J, L (and L blends), ZH, R (and R blends), TH (voiced), TH (voiceless)—are more challenging due to the precise tongue placement, airflow control, and coordination they require.

To support learners in mastering these complex sounds, this course offers:

  • Sounds in Isolation: Learners begin with focused drills to ensure clear and accurate production of each sound.

  • Syllables and Words: Practice progresses to combining these sounds with vowels in syllables and then in words. Exercises target all word positions—initial, medial, final, and mixed—to build flexibility.

  • Phrases: Learners use short, meaningful phrases to develop fluency and ensure the sounds are integrated naturally into their speech.

  • Sentences and Text: The final step includes structured sentences and a short story that challenge learners to use these advanced sounds consistently. For additional practice, a printable book offers a longer, entertaining poem and story, combining humor and creativity to make learning enjoyable.

This course helps learners achieve full clarity and confidence in their articulation, enabling them to communicate effectively in any context.

By following a systematic and engaging approach that mirrors natural speech development, Learnigo at Home empowers learners to progress from early sounds to advanced articulation. The inclusion of printable resources like poems and stories ensures that practice is both practical and enjoyable, making this program an excellent tool for parents, therapists, and educators alike.
